New York Life is currently looking to select two exceptional individuals this quarter to be part of our Austin insurance and financial sales team. We do not require any previous experience with insurance and financial products; our extensive training program makes sure that all our agents are well-versed in the products we offer. This position does require self-motivation, discipline and an entrepreneurial spirit as all agents are given the opportunity to run their business according to their own design. Part of that design is setting your own hours and therefore, the schedule is extremely flexible. At New York Life, you are in business for yourself, but not by yourself. Key Responsibilities
- Helping members of the Austin community achieve and maintain their insurance and financial goals while adhering to the ethical standards of New York Life.
- Guiding clients on sensitive financial decisions
- Maintaining a sound knowledge of updated insurance and financial products and conveying this knowledge effectively to the Austin market
- Professionally and ethically representing New York Life and its clients at all times
Required Attributes

- An entrepreneurial spirit

- Passion, commitment, and a high level of energy

- Must be a self-starter, self-disciplined and results driven

- Ideally settled in Austin or surrounding areas for at least five years

- Bachelor’s or Associates degree preferred

- 1-2 years of previous business ownership or experience in sales and marketing a plus
