LibreDigital a dynamic, well funded startup in Austin, Texas seeks applicants for a new position within its Software Engineering department.

Java/ETL Engineer:
Seeking someone with a mastery of both understanding the information content of data and in transforming and preparing the data for cloud distribution and reporting purposes.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead the design and implementation of ETL components that extract, validate, correct, transform and load data
• Design, implement, and maintain logical and physical models for reporting and analytical databases
• Maintain ETL data processing environment as well as reporting and analytical databases
• Measure and maintain data integrity throughout the workflow

Qualifications:
• 4+ years experience in Java programming
• Strong knowledge of OLAP database and ETL data processing concepts
• Expertise in data modeling and data warehouse design
• 4+ years hands-on experience with relational database, specifically w/ Oracle. Experience w/PostgreSQL, DB2, MySQL a plus.
• Full life cycle experience in OLAP databases (requirements, design, implementation, testing, release, and operational support)
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production problems and data issues
• Validate the data in the database and also responsible for testing the routines developed
• Advanced knowledge in Shell and PERL scripting in Unix/Linux environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working in a team environment
