SUMMARY:

The Sr. Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and executing marketing messaging and guiding creative that consistently builds brand reputation, preference, trial and usage of Volusion products and services among current and potential customers. As such, in cooperation with sales and professional services, the core responsibilities and deliverables of the position include conceptualization of new products and services, creation of product launch promotions, lead generation campaigns and customer retention incentives, in addition to providing qualitative metrics and quarterly ROI analysis of all programs.
The ideal candidate must be a creative hands-on self starter, independently resourceful, a team player with an entrepreneurial spirit who understands business strategy and delivers with a ROI focus in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. A proven track record in the creation, marketing and “selling of consumer products” is a must. Prior experience marketing and selling SaaS solutions to the SMB market a big plus. We are looking for a sales & marketing super star that knows how to sell aggressively to the consumer. You’ll be constantly watching what the competition is up to and respond quickly to changing market dynamics with the right message and creative execution to drive the leads pipeline, while carefully balancing short-term and long-term brand impact.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Reports to the Director of Marketing and is directly responsible for engaging with sales and professional services in order to deliver on target revenue goal.
•Will create and lead daily marketing programs to increase awareness, lead generation, trial, usage and loyalty of our products and competitive position.
•Regularly scans competitor communication and promotional activity and proactively makes recommendations to protect, defend or enhance Volusion’s image.
Implements proactive BTL tactics to defend the brand, when necessary.
•Applies measurement techniques to report ROI on a quarterly and annual basis.
•Manages, models and implements best practices.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
•Minimum of 7 years experience as a Marketing Manager with proven ability to sell to consumers.
•Demonstrated success defining, launching and “selling” products
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Technical background, ideally with experience in eCommerce
•Extensive knowledge of SEM, SEO and web strategies
•Understanding SaaS models
•Excellent teamwork skills
•Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

•Bachelors degree in BA, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred and equivalent work experience.
