Job Title: Brand Specialist- Radio
Sports Radio: AM 1300 The Zone
Adult Contemporary: 105.9 The River

-Manage the development and execution of all station promotions, community affairs efforts and assist in the development of station event marketing opportunities
-Engineers sports broadcasts and live on site sports talk shows
-Responsible for enhancing station brand image and visibility within the community that will attract listeners and clients
-Act as liaison between programming, and sales to develop overall station campaigns, themes and marketing campaigns
-Develop revenue-generating promotions that cross promote clients and third parties
-Act as a leader within the department, interfacing with promotion personnel
-Provide creative influence that creates visibility and publicity within the market which will create buzz and talk about the station
-Implement grass roots marketing efforts at the local level
-Knowledge of the PPM ratings methodology
-Implement promotions on air and on line, contesting through Text and social network platforms that produce results through PPM methodology
-Oversee and contribute to the stations use of social networking
- Direct the activities of the Brand Coordinator in conjunction with Program Director to obtain station audience growth goals
-Assist marketing director in day-to-day operation of department

Some Specific responsibilities and functions include:
-Monitor and evaluate brand promotional performance including on line contesting, database cross promotion and appointment listening contests/on air promotion; interpreting results for the planning and development of effective marketing strategies.
-supervises station contests, on-air and on line implementation
-day-to-day management within the promotions department including policies, procedures, staffing
-build digital audience by planning and implementing on line strategies and campaigns that drive on line traffic
-represent stations at community events
-act as community liaison with community corporate entities
-coordinate activities of other departments involved in programming, production of promotions and remotes, attend remotes as needed
-work with vendors in securing trade partnerships in ordering promotional material
-create and develop promotional campaigns to generate revenue and ratings opportunities for station
-work in conjunction with programming and marketing director to develop strategic marketing plan
-implement station strategic marketing/promotions plan
-oversee and manage station promotion budget
-analyze weekly ratings dashboard reports and evaluate promotional effectiveness
-adjust promotional execution as needed to meet programming goals
-collaborate with sales daily to meet client needs and execute client promotional campaigns
-develops and maintains relationships with the press and other media
-oversee on-air contesting, on-site client promotions, station events and website promotion
-create client proposals and promotional concepts congruent with station image and strategies
-write promos and traffic orders
-manage/write client based promotional recaps
-update website content regularly
-liaison daily between sales and programming departments
-provide technical assistance for on-site remotes/appearances
-attend and conduct weekly sales/promotions and programming meetings
-collaborate with retail outlets, promoters, and community organizations
-meet day to day deadlines
-work station appearances/events, setting up promotional displays, inflatables, and vehicles as needed
-compile data and assimilate quarterly reports of audience growth

Position Qualifications:
-A minimum of five years experience in promotions, marketing, radio or related industry.
-Sports radio/broadcast experience required
-Proven understanding of digital marketing-promotion and utilization of social networking
-Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills.
-Strong attention to detail
-Candidates must also have valid drivers license.
-Must also be willing to work flexible hours and weekends. Some heavy lifting is also required for this position.
-Must be willing to travel and accommodate sports schedules

Direct Supervisor: Director of Brand Management

Education and Other Requirements:
Minimum one-year college, five years experience in promotions, marketing, and radio. Must have valid driver’s license and state mandated automobile insurance.
