About the Role:

Want to be part of the digital media revolution? Want to participate in changing the way people read/consume content? We are seeking to hire an experienced Purchasing Analyst to work 20-25 hours/week to provide critical support to our senior management, IT and Finance teams. This position reports to the Controller and will mainly support the Controller and IT in managing the corporate procurement function and partnering with appropriate functional, technical and legal personnel to negotiate pricing and develop contractual agreements. This includes strategy development and execution, supplier relationship management, risk management and supplier performance management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creates purchase orders for the acquisition of materials.
• Put in place systems and processes to effectively select and qualify key suppliers
• Researches, interviews, and negotiates with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.
• Provides routine administrative support.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a purchasing environment.
• Proactively manage complex contractual agreements; manage key terms, expiration dates, amendments, etc.;
• Utilize comprehensive business and market intelligence data to proactively identify strategic opportunities and value-added solutions related to material quality, cost, delivery, service, technology, etc.;
• Collaborate with cross-functional personnel to ensure alignment of the purchasing function with key strategic corporate objectives;
• Identify solutions and present recommendations to management on mission critical decision points.
• Develop and execute advanced negotiation strategies that support business objectives; includes structuring and negotiating complex contractual agreements;

Required Skills and Experience:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 – 4 years “hands-on” experience in a purchasing role.
• History of strong negotiation for BOM (materials) cost reductions.
• Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
