Volusion is a profitable, growing business that supports over 18,000 online merchants – ranging from home businesses to Fortune 100 enterprises. This position will execute on a variety of Volusion services including but not limited to importing of customer data, creation of SQL reports for customer data, XML/API integrations, custom Javascript development, etc. This position will involve handling large amounts of data as well as conversations with multiple internal departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Import medium to large data-sets into Volusion stores from a variety of proprietary databases. Create and amend custom SQL queries and custom Javascript Integrate Volusion software with vendors and other 3rd parties using XML/API Advise and consult customers on best practices Communicating client requirements to Product Management and Development teams, validating configuration and coordinating the delivery of new functionality to the client. Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain current knowledge of Volusion services. Continue to grow knowledge of industry standards and best practices. Contribute ideas to grow Services department.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Firm academic background in systems analysis and design. Knowledge and experience in the following: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, XML and Internet Applications (Web2.0 concepts and technology). Strong database proficiency including SQL, CSV, MDA. Strong problem solving skills. Strong communication skills are required for interaction with customers, team members, senior members of the staff and other departments. Strong client-centered orientation with the ability to multitask and prioritize. The ability to anticipate potential issues and concerns and to address them in a timely manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to provide strong consultative support and product training. Prior knowledge of Volusion Ecommerce software a plus.
