The Role: Instructional Designer, Math
The Location: Austin, TX

The Instructional Designer, Math is primarily responsible for the development and improvement of the Math curriculum and assessment for our products. The Math specialist works as a team member in the development of Math curriculum and instruction.


● Participate in planning, development, field-testing, and evaluation of Math curriculum, assessment, and accommodations for diverse populations (ELL and Special Needs students)

● Apply current academic research related to Math and reflects such in planning of curriculum and instruction

● Review competing Math software

● Write and review instructional content for accuracy and compliance with company standards

● Review completed storyboards, art and audio prior to programming phase

● Review completed online content before quality assurance process

● Maintain good working relations within and between departments by working collaboratively and communicating clearly with all team members

● Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Architect, Math

M.A., M. Ed., or M.S. specializing in Math

Experience in Math education at the elementary level

Minimum of five years elementary teaching experience

Writing and editing skills

Knowledge of current production software such as Microsoft Office tools

Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software applications

Ability to translate instructional best practices into multimedia delivery

Experience developing online educational courseware preferred
