User Interface Architect

LibreDigital is seeking a User Interface Architect to direct and coordinate the activities of a large, distributed team building a Web portal used by our customers to manage and promote their digital assets in our data warehouse.
Define technology, perform overall architecture and high level design, direct the technical work of the rest of the team. Work in conjunction with Program Manager to deliver function-rich, user friendly tools which are our primary face to our customers.


3+ years Java Enterprise development, including ESB, preferably on JBoss. Experience with end-
to-end system development, server- and UI-side.
5+ years Development of browser-based user interfaces,
Advanced understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS and related web technologies
Experience working with RESTful API services, XML and JSON
Expert level knowledge of DHTML (JavaScript, Ajax, CSS) and solid experience with at least one Ajax/JavaScript framework
(Preferred) Experience with Flex/Flash and /or HTML5
1+ years Database programming, Oracle preferred


5+ years product development experience, ideally in a Software-as-a-Service model
Experience with identity management systems and role-based access
Experience designing and implementing user interfaces, with a strong sense of what is required of a great user interface
Team Lead experience with overall responsibility for the technical direction of the UI

Other skills:

Excellent communication, prioritization and analytical skills
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced start-up environment with minimal structure and process


Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE or MIS; or equivalent experience
