The Role: Senior .NET Developer
The Location: Austin, TX

An award-winning educational software company experiencing dynamic growth is looking to add a Senior .NET Developer to our team. Our company creates K-12 curriculum and assessment solutions that motivate today’s students to engage, think, & learn. K–12 schools use our system to personalize instruction, improve test scores, and increase graduation rates.

The Senior .NET Developer will work collaboratively with a team to design and develop large commercial web farm applications using Microsoft C#, ASP.NET, .NET, and SQL technologies for our core business. The Senior .NET Developer will be required to assess business requirements and consult on functional specifications. This role will also deliver reliable and efficient code while understanding the enterprise wide business implications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3-5 years of programming experience in a commercial software development environment including; ASP.NET, C#, .NET, and SQL
Experience in Agile, Scrum, or XP development methodologies
Previous experience with business processes and translating work flows into user stories
Knowledge of Dependence Injection and Unit Testing
Experience designing and developing systems for web farms
Knowledge of design patterns
Fluent in best practices of object-oriented programming
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or demonstrated comparable experience designing commercial software products
