Senior J2EE Engineer

LibreDigital is seeking a highly skilled senior J2EE/Java developer to be part of a team developing SaaS components for the digital media industry. LibreDigital is a fast-paced environment and requires it’s team members to be technically proficient, organized, agile, engaging, and personable. Required skills:

•Minimum 5 years of dedicated development experience with increased responsibility over that time
•Advanced Java 1.5+ and EJB3 experience over JBoss on Linux system environment
•Comprehensive understanding of database technologies
•Technical leadership (developing design documents, providing guidance to development teams, inspecting quality and architectural conformance of code developed)
•Full-stack, technical traversal (e.g. confident working on everything from DB backend to web application UI)
•SOA services (messaging, transformation, orchestration/routing) as well as the design and implementation of new human workflow management tools (JBoss ESB 4.x, JBoss Messaging/JBossMQ, BPEL, ActiveVOS)
•Data warehousing (dimensional design, catalogs, transformation and access rights & permissions)
•Protocol level familiarity with FTP and SFTP, state-full session bean activation and passivation details
•Web service design using JAX-WS and JAX-RS annotations
•Implementation of JAAS login modules

Highly desired skills:
•Agile/SCRUM experience
•Start-up experience
•Web application development with Apache Wicket, JQuery and JavaScript in general
•Image manipulation APIs such as JAI/Java ImageIO/Java2D
•Implementation of information retrieval systems based on Apache Solr or Lucene
•Implementation of JMX (MBeans/Management Beans) to provide runtime management controls and statistics
•Periodic scheduling with Quartz (a Java based scheduler)
•Technologies: JCA, Spring, JAXB, XPath, ORMs such as JPA/Hibernate, iBATIS, JDBC, JMX, JEE 5, JBoss 4.x (development and production cluster configuration), JMS, JBoss ESB 4.x, JBoss Messaging/JBossMQ, clustering and performance tuning, JAI/Java ImageIO, Quartz Scheduler, RESTEasy, Apache Wicket, SpringMVC, Lucene and Apache Solr, JSON, Oracle, SVN operations – especially branch/merge, shell scripting
•Maven, Subversion and Eclipse
•Should know at least one very high level language (e.g. Python, Perl, Ruby)
