As a critical member of our new IP Phone validation team you will be responsible for contributing to the development of the test strategies and automation platform for the IP Phone Architecture as well as executing of designed test cases.

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual passionate about playing a critical role in our design validation organization. As a critical member of our new IP Phone validation team you will be responsible for contributing to the development of the test strategies and automation platform for the IP Phone Architecture as well as executing of designed test cases.

Responsibilities:

Review marketing and engineering technical specifications and attend review meetings.
Contribute to the design of testing strategies for IP Phone architecture and features.
Design and develop the automation platform and tools for the IP Phone architecture.
Represent QA in the Agile/Scrum development process.
Meet with developers to discuss technical aspects of features.
Design and author test cases for assigned feature areas of a release.
Executing automated test cases.
Maintaining automation test suites.
Some manual testing required.
Work with developers on reproducing and researching defects
Track and manage defects on a day to day basis.
Setup and maintain lab test environments.
Produce work on time and track to the QA release schedules.
Mentor junior level engineers.
Contribute to the design and maintenance of out test case management system.

Requirements:

Candidate must have a minimum 8 years experience as a QA engineer.
3+ years QA engineering experience working in the Telco industry.
Candidate must have 5+ years designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks.
Experience with object oriented programming.
Knowledge of “Squish” scripting framework and tools for embedded systems a plus.
Expertise with the Linux OS a plus.
Scripting experience using languages such as Perl, TCL, or similar.
Ability to setup, configure, and maintain several network devices such as servers, routers, and switches.
Solid networking knowledge.
Ability to analyze network layer protocols using tools such as wireshark.
Prior experience testing SIP solutions.
Prior experience testing VoIP solutions.
Prior experience with the following operating systems: Windows-2003/2008/XP/Vista, Linux.
Prior experience with HP Quality Center’s Test Director application a plus.
Good understanding QA methodology and software development life cycle
Translates the Business requirements and technical design into comprehensive test plans and test cases assuring maximum requirements coverage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have Test automation and test scripting experience.
Ability to resolve issues under fire and to adapt to change.
Ability to quickly learn technology concepts and terminologies.
Ability to multi-task and support multiple QA efforts in parallel.
Must have Strong communication skills, Excellent listening skills, Strong work ethics, Self starter, Motivated, Detail oriented and Ability to work collaboratively with others
