Better Business Bureau of Austin is looking for a highly motivated Dispute Resolution Specialist to professionally and efficiently help consumers and businesses resolve disputes to promote a trustworthy marketplace. Duties will Include:
•Answering in-coming phone lines providing referrals and assistance per assigned schedule or whenever necessary
•Greeting walk-in customers
•Researching in-coming consumer phone inquiries on internal system, BBB.org, as well as other approved websites
•Answering inquirers question or directing to proper person
•Assist assigned businesses with solutions to consumer complaints in a timely manner
•Monitor business complaints for patterns, update report when necessary
•Prepare reports
•Assure businesses and consumers understand BBB dispute resolution procedures and policies
•Updating database information
•Advise Trade Practices of current alerts and scams
•Work with businesses and make suggestion on how they might avoid future disputes

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
•Highly proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)
•Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofreading materials
•Excellent telephone and oral communication skills
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
