Digital Signal Processing Engineer

The Role: Digital Signal Processing Engineer
The Location: Austin, TX

TrackingPoint is an early-stage startup in the military and commercial electro-optics market. Founded by a well-respected and proven team of entrepreneurs, TrackingPoint is on a path to transform weapon system performance by the application of its groundbreaking technology. TrackingPoint is seeking an exceptional Digital Signal Process Engineer to join our algorithms and software design group.

The Digital Signal Process Engineer will develop digital signal processing designs required for the real time implementation of TrackingPoint’s technology within a model based design environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

● B.S. in Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of related experience
● Strong knowledge of Simulink and Matlab
● Experience with code generation tools (Mathworks coder products)
● Image processing algorithm implementation experience
● Conversion of floating point algorithms to fixed point
● Experience with DSP scheduling strategies including DMA, pipe-lining, memory, etc.
● Knowledge of optimisation strategies, both algorithmic and DSP tradeoffs
● Knowledge of processor / hardware in the loop testing
● Interfacing with low level hardware (through EMIF / SRIO)

Additional Valuable Background:

● Linux embedded driver experience
● Working knowledge of FPGA / VHDL / Verilog
