Small World Labs is looking for a Sales Account Executive in Austin, TX

The Account Executive position at Small World Labs supports our sales efforts to bring our online community platform to the market and support our expanding team. This position is based in Austin, Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and manage the sales funnel and activities for a target territory on an end-to-end basis
• Identify target prospects from personal research efforts, as well as from our existing CRM database and marketing programs
• Conduct outreach via phone and email to key points of contact at the Manager, Director, and VP level across targeted departments within organizations
• Perform background research on each prospect to develop potential pitch opportunities by identifying ways our platform and services can help the prospect’s organization
• Understand each prospects relationships via social media to aid in the sales process
• Lead business requirements gathering calls to develop a deep understanding of each organization’s pain points, needs, and opportunity areas
• Integrate ROI concepts and specifics into the sales process in order to move toward an “investment” versus “cost” based sale
• Present about Small World Labs via conference call, webinar/screenshare, and occasionally in person
• Demo our platform in a way that is tailored for each prospect’s needs
• In select situations, create tailored demo versions of our platform (using our platform’s point-and-click-tools) for customized demos to the highest qualified opportunities
• Manage a sales funnel in our CRM (Salesforce) to track leads, opportunities, and tasks
• Write proposals that include our set up services, platform bundles, and strategic services options, for presentation to prospects
• Deliver contracts for approval and signature
• Lead internal project kick-off meetings with our services team to transfer all new account knowledge and background

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a sales-related role
• Experience selling or marketing to the nonprofit market
• The ability to develop and manage a strong sales funnel
• The ability to quickly identify opportunities that match our platform and services to an organization’s unique needs
• An understanding of the difference between presenting to IT versus the line of business
• Experience using a CRM for sales funnel and activity management
• Experience writing proposals
• Experience demoing a product
• A strong work ethic
• Exceptional time and priority management
• Strong communication, grammar, and presentation skills (written and verbal)
• The ability to run meetings effectively, create agendas, develop next steps, and identify action items
• A VERY service-oriented and positive attitude. Our clients will follow your enthusiasm

EDUCATION
• A strong academic background
• Undergraduate degree required; MBA or graduate degree is a plus
